The core theme of this anime is that Issei Arakawa cares about the rakugo world more than anyone else. "If we greenlight low-level garbage even once, the industry goes to die" is literally 100% true. Taking on the villain role just to protect rakugo is insanely cool.

The truth behind the disownment... witnessed the sheer resolve of both Issho-san and her dad. Issho's words really show how heavy the Shin-uchi title is if rakugo is gonna survive in the modern day. The weight of what he carries and his absolute resolve are unreal... Shinta's decision and grit got me so hyped. And Akane understanding that and respecting it brought me to tears. So excited to see Akane crush it from here on out 😊
